It only features books which haven't been translated into English yet, which means you need to know a foreign language to read them, or wait until the translation. However, the very fact that they haven't been translated yet definitely makes them underrated. It was an unexpected delight. Also your endorsement of the always entertaining Neglected Books Page blog.

I've read six books I encountered on the Neglected Books Page. One of them, "The Crossing" by Jean Reverzy, was terrific. The rest were perfectly awful, and deserved not only neglect, but oblivion.

But I was glad I read them anyway - being neglected as they were, their badness was far less offensive than that of non-neglected bad books like "Grapes of Wrath", "Mockingbird" and other curricular clutter.Fazehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01396363799545495907noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21999805.post-84472016830337484602021-01-26T10:20:57.093-06:002021-01-26T10:20:57.093-06:00Margaret Kennedy's novel The Feast is the firs...Margaret Kennedy's novel The Feast is the first such book that comes to my mind.
