Patrick - Yale seem to have reprinted the Penguin Selected Poems, which is similarly devoid of intro, index or notes (even Hill's own), tho it does have quite a pleasing front cover, of stylised foliage in white and red (atrorubescent even) on black. It was published as one of a set, with the Selected Poems of 7 lesser poets (Roger McGough! Linton Kwesi Johnson!!) - all under the banner 'Read More'. Very odd. Let's hope someone manages a proper selected Hill soon.
