We lost
power again around noon Saturday. No idea when it will be restored. Here is
“The Next Book,” a 1969 poem by James Hayford (Star in the Shed Window: Collected Poems 1933-1988, New England
Press, 1989):
Be what you need—
“A pocket universe
Ample yet terse,
“And offering connections
In all directions.”

Thanks. I'll think I'll share that poem with fellow members of our local library advisory board for promotional possibilities.
